The Forensic Science Workshop for Teachers, featuring Mr. Mark Okuda and sponsored by BABEC and Life Technologies (formerly Applied Biosystems), will be held at San José State University, in San José, CA July 7th-10th, 2009. This workshop will introduce participants to many aspects of forensic science including:

  • DNA analysis using PCR
  • Blood splatter analysis
  • Fingerprinting
  • Population statistics in forensics
  • Ballistics/ firearms analysis
  • Mock trials
  • and much more!

Registration for the workshop will close on June 22nd and notification of acceptances will be emailed on June 29th. Acceptances after deadline will depend on available space. Details (directions, agenda, etc.) will be provided in the acceptance email. There is no fee to attend the workshop and continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided.
