Ready access to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in the laboratory environment is critical for the safe handling, use, and disposal of the chemicals used in our lab based curricula. As part of BABEC workshops, teachers are taught the proper handling and disposal of the chemicals. However, the school district should be consulted for guidelines specific to each school. We highly recommend a red binder, clearly labelled MSDS, be kept in every laboratory and science teacher office so that any questions can be handled quickly and safely. Please see the Resources page for links to additional lab safety websites.
