CISBEConsortium of Independent Schools for Biotechnology Education Partnership Coordinator The Consortium of Independent Schools for Biotechnology Education is a fledgling organization made up of teachers from Bay Area independent schools. Most of the teachers involved in CISBE have their own equipment at their schools and run at least one class in advanced genetics/molecular biology. These teachers are associated with CISBE to share curricular ideas, certain equipment (PCR thermocyclers), and reagents from BABEC. Members are generous about helping other independent schools who are just beginning their biotechnology curricula. CISBE, coordinated by several full-time teachers, meets a few times a each year. Teachers from local independent schools are welcomed to join in the fun. |
